Ducati Escooter - DUCATI PRO-II PLUS ESCOOTER Review
Ducati, known for their state of the art motorcycles. Recently, Ducati has moved into the realm of escooters. Ducati escooters are renowned for their middle ground between functionality and luxury. You can see the motorbike heritage in Ducati escooters, along with their renowned performance. ScootUp recently added the Ducati Pro-II escooter, so lets take some time to highlight some of the features of this scooter!
Performance
The Ducati Pro II escooter has a pretty good performance. Although, not the highest performance on the market, it brings a relatively good performance for it’s price point. The Pro II escooter is powered by a 350W motor, with a peak output of 515W, offering a good balance of power and energy efficiency. The battery isn’t the strongest, however it allows for seamless commutes, and great speed. The Pro II is equipped with a 468Wh battery, allowing the scooter to cover up to 40 km on a single charge. This makes the Pro II suitable for longer commutes and other escooter adventures. The top speed of the Pro II is 25 km/h , which is standard for urban commuter escooter and leisurley rides. The Pro III features dual front and rear suspension, which helps make for softer rides, especially on uneven surfaces, such as cobblestone roads. It is also equipped with a double braking system, including electric front and rear disc brakes. The Pro II escooter comes with an integrated app. The app provides constant updates on the vehicle's performance, location, and allows riders to call for assistance on the go. Overall, the Ducati Pro II offers some pretty good features for a commuter scooter. It doesn’t have the groundbreaking features that other escooter titans carry, however it outperforms many other commuter escooter brands, such as Ninebot or Xiaomi.
Design
The Ducati Pro II, showcases a design that reflects Ducati's motorbike heretage. The escooter's frame is made from a magnesium alloy, which is an extremely durable metal and also helps the scooter keep a light weight. Most commuter escooters are made from aluminum, which is heavier than magnesium alloy. The choice of frame contributes to the luxurious status of the scooter. The Pro II is fitted with 10" tubeless wheels, which provides a smooth and safe ride and negates any risk of tire punctures, a common issue with escooters. The deck of the scooter is designed to accommodate various foot sizes, contributing to rider comfort during use. The Pro II is also equipped with a state of the art lighting system. The scooter has a large 3.5" LED display, making the scooter visible while driving at night, and also allowing for increased visibility. Personally, I really like the Pro II’s design. It has a sleek design without compromising too much on it’s performance. There aren’t too mant scooters on the market with a sleek design and robust performance. The Pro II is definitely one of them.
Overall, the Ducati Pro II is a great escooter if you’re looking for a more premium commuter escooter. It’s performance doesn’t fall too far behind the more offroad or performance heavy escooters, while also keeping a light frame and making it commuter friendly. The design is also a major selling point. The design is special, showcasing the brand’s heritage as a motorcycle company, ald stands out from other commuter options, like Ninebot and Xiaomi in terms of looks. All in all, of you’re looking for a commuter escooter with a little extra juice, the Ducati Pro II escooter may just be the one for you
